Forbes

As assistant editor and reporter at Forbes Lifestyle, I managed some 300 freelancers, edited iconic lists including 30 Under 30, published two magazine columns every other month, tweeted 40 times a day for @ForbesLife, designed landing pages and stories, and reported on and off-camera on the fashion and art worlds.

  • Reinventing Anna: In an exclusive interview, Sorokin talks about life under house arrest, her lucrative art career and the inspiration she takes from Sam Bankman-Fried.

The Best of Art Basel Miami Beach: From a $20 million Basquiat to a $75,000 ATM that announces your net worth.

Inside Paul Allen’s Billion-Dollar Art Auction: More than 150 masterpieces owned by the late Microsoft cofounder paint a portrait of the billionaire as a passionate collector.

Inside the $126,000 Oscars Gift Bags: Since 2002, Academy Award nominees have received luxurious swag. A peek inside this year’s haul.

The Best Of The Met Gala Red Carpet 2022: See the best dressed celebrities at fashion’s biggest night out.

2022 Forbes Holiday Gift Guide: An A-to-Z list of letter-perfect presents

Additional work can be found here.

  • Lead editor on three 30 Under 30 lists, as well as two editions of the Cannabis 42.0. Interviewed industry leaders, analyzed finalist data, managed a team of freelancers, and judged candidates.

30 Under 30: Art and Style 2023: From Hailey Bieber to Meg Thee Stallion’s nail artist

30 Under 30 Europe: Art and Culture: From the 27-year-old creative director of Ferragamo to the “magicineer” bringing fantastical potions to life

The Cannabis 42.0 2023: Meet the pot pioneers blazing a path forward.

  • Was responsible for more real estate in the magazine than any of my peers.

Produced the Buy, Hold, Sell column: Worked with experts in a number of fields to give investment advice on luxury collectibles.

Produced the back page column Thoughts…: Worked with the executive editor of Forbes on this beloved section of the magazine, connecting old Forbes cover stories to today’s news for a parable.

Researched magazine sidebars (see: Majors with Minors): Was one of two researchers writing and producing multiple infographics—from the history of light to the number of college students under 18 throughout history—under extremely tight deadlines.

Fact-checked cover stories (such as this one): Responsible for ensuring copy was accurate and fair—often while my own pieces were being fact-checked.
